This work, by Doug Foster, is a large rusted steel-plate box, containing a seamlessly looped high-definition video installation.
‘BOB’ (2007) explores our innate attraction to symmetry and repetition by following in the relentless footsteps of a man with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

For his first solo exhibition with Lazarides, Foster showcased a selection of his most celebrated works alongside his newest digital film installation, Brainwasher. The gallery's two floors were transformed into a stark, clinical setting for the artist's stereoscopic and high-definition screen works.

Foster’s first solo show at a London gallery included Breather, BOB, Frozen, Freezer, four stereoscopic portraits from the Mirror in the Bathroom series and a small scale preview of Islands of the Blessed.

BOB was exhibited along with works by Antoney Gormley, Anselm Kiefer, Gerry Judah, Hyungkoo Lee and the Boyle Family at The David Roberts Foundation.
It is was first show by The David Roberts Foundation at its new space in Great Titchfield Street.
